Senior Account Executive

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement Donordigital's work with select clients
  • Develop online fundraising/advocacy/promotion plans with specific benchmarks and deliverables, including e-mail newsletters and solicitations, fundraising appeals, advocacy and advertising campaigns, Web site development and more.
  • Develop and nurture relationship with client and frequently communicate progress via phone, e-mail, written progress reports and on-site meetings.
  • Identify, set-up and maintain appropriate ASP relationships for donation processing, e-mail marketing, etc.
  • Coordinate creative services, including writing/editing Web fundraising copy, promotional copy and e-mail newsletters and solicitations, and supervising production of design work.
  • Work with Donordigital staff to manage various aspects of client work.
  • Keep up to date on online fundraising and advocacy technology, nonprofit development, and commercial technology and techniques that can be applied to nonprofit development.

Required qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in one of the following areas of work: advocacy, fundraising, electoral campaigning, project management, event planning, Internet marketing, direct response.

Job Summary: Account Executives work as part of an account team assisting with or leading many aspects of client work and project management.

Core responsibilities:

  • Works with the account lead to develop and implement online fundraising/advocacy campaigns with specific benchmarks and deliverables, including email newsletters and solicitations, fundraising appeals, advocacy campaigns and more.
  • Assists with creative services, including writing/editing Web fundraising copy, promotional copy and e-mail newsletters and solicitations
  • Coordinates email message production and implementation with internal departments and clients
  • Implements and oversees message and landing page setup in the client’s eCRM platform
  • Works with Director of Research and Analytics to pull messaging data and other metrics; monitors message performance after a launch and does preliminary analysis for client report-back
  • Helps prepare presentations and reports before in-person client meetings as needed, with guidance from the account lead

Contract Web Developer

Join the Donordigital team is looking for a contract Web Developer to help create campaigns for our clients such as CARE, NAACP, Habitat for Humanity, AmeriCares, Amnesty International USA, the Center for Investigative Reporting, and others. Donordigital is an online fundraising and advocacy agency based in Berkeley (but, of course, this position can work remotely!).

Weíre seeking a Web Developer who can produce robust, well-structured and well-documented code for use in Web and email fundraising, advocacy, marketing, and advertising on a per project basis. Youíll be creating code for emails, campaign sites, widgets, Web 2.0 projects and moreÖ And youíll provide support for design, HTML development and production needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Slice, optimize, and export Photoshop comps.
  • Code & implement emails into a CMS.
  • Code websites using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
  • Create custom landing and donation pages.
  • Export and optimize animated GIFs.
  • Create video slideshows for the web.
  • Create widgets for Blogs, Facebook, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Must show excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with Convio, Kintera, DIA's Salsa and/or GetActive.
  • Expert in hand coding well-formed HTML and CSS.
  • Ability to code cutting edge designs that both validate, and follow accessibility guidelines.
  • Ability to code table-based designs with inline CSS for use in emails.
  • Ability to use Photoshop to slice and optimize files from our web designer.
  • Strong knowledge of DOM manipulation with JavaScript.
  • Skillful in the use of JSON/AJAX techniques.
  • Familiar with the use of regular expressions to validate and alter data.
  • Strong knowledge of PHP, such as using PHP for templating, and for storing and retrieving data from MySQL databases.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MySQL, especially important is knowledge of database security, and table layout and indexing efficiency.
  • Knowledge of Flash and ActionScript, especially as it pertains to embedding and controlling video.
  • Familiar with using Apache .htaccess files to secure pages.
  • Ability to design sites that work well across all browsers and systems.
  • Ability to design emails that work well in the follow email clients: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Entourage, Apple Mail, and Lotus Notes.
  • Ability to design emails that work in the follow web mail services: AOL Mail, GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo Mail.
  • Familiar with Mac and Windows operating systems.

Not required, but a plus:

  • Proficiency in Photoshop.
  • Experience with the JQuery, Prototype and Scriptaculous JavaScript libraries.
  • Experience with Drupal and/or WordPress.
  • Understanding of MySQL database table joins.
  • Knowledge of using iMovie and QuickTime Pro.
  • Ability to optimize exported video for streaming from the web.
  • Familiar with the coding of Flash Games.
  • Ability to design animated GIF banner ads.
